About shellroute

Shellroute is developer proxy infrastructure. We make it simple to route terminal sessions through country-specific proxy exits — without VPNs, dashboards, or system-wide network changes.

Traditional proxy access means configuring dashboards, managing zones, copying credentials, and figuring out port mappings. VPNs route your entire machine when you only need one terminal session routed. Shellroute replaces both with a single command.

shellroute proxy --country US

Everything in that shell routes through the selected country. Everything else stays untouched. Pay only for the bandwidth you use.

What we believe

Proxy access should be scoped to the work you're doing. One command, one shell, one country, one clear bill. No dashboard setup, no system-wide VPN, no credential management.

Developer tools should feel like developer tools. shellroute is a CLI, not a web app. It works with curl, Python, Node.js, Playwright, Puppeteer, and the rest of your terminal workflow.

Responsible infrastructure matters. shellroute is designed for legitimate developer workflows — geo-testing, QA automation, public web data, ad verification, and localization checks. We maintain an acceptable use policy and take abuse reports seriously.

Who it's for

  • Developers who need to test from specific countries
  • QA teams running geo-specific automation
  • Data teams collecting public web data with residential exits
  • AI agent builders giving agents controlled proxy access per task
