Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the shellroute website, CLI, API, and proxy infrastructure (collectively, the "Service") operated by shellroute ("we", "us", "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

2. Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and API keys. Do not share your API keys. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Acceptable use

Your use of the Service must comply with our Acceptable Use Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate the Acceptable Use Policy.

4. Billing and payments

  • — The Service uses prepaid credits. You purchase credits in advance and usage is deducted per session.
  • — Pricing: residential routes at $3/GB, datacenter routes at $1/GB (bidirectional).
  • — Used credits are non-refundable. Unused credits are refundable upon request.
  • — Usage is metered bidirectionally (bytes uploaded + downloaded) during each session.

5. Service availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The proxy network depends on third-party exit node providers. Connection times, available countries, and exit IP quality may vary. We are not liable for downtime, connection failures, or degraded performance.

6. Limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, shellroute is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including lost data, lost profits, or business interruption.

7. Termination

You may close your account at any time by contacting support. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy. On termination, unused credits are refundable upon request.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, including the CLI, API, website, and documentation, is owned by shellroute. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.

9. Changes to these terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on our website at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
